For a few years now, the annual trip north of the border to Scotland for the Knockhill round of the British Drift Championship, Driftland have hosted the Monday event for the drivers to blow off a bit of steam and let their hair down from the stresses of the competition and some of the locals joining in the fun as well.

The drift day wasn’t just about mega powered drift weapons but it’s also a chance for drivers of all skills to get on the same track as the BDC drivers. Thirteen year old Lewis was proving it wont be long before he is knocking on their doors in competition.

One of the most talked about cars of this year was Michael Marshall’s E92 3 series sporting the Liberty walk kit. Michael wasn’t scared at all to chuck it around the track.

The locals were out in force for just a bit of practice or treating it as a full on test day, no one was pussy footing round the track especially with some of the BDC stars in attendance.

We even had a couple of AE86’s showing the newer cars how it’s done!!

John who is a Driftland regular is not scared of a bit of exploding aero on his 86. From start to finish he is pushing the little Hachi Roku to the fullest and it was great to watch.

On the other end of the scale you have Neil with his super clean S14 that unfortunately met with the quarter panel of Andi’s E36 but that didn’t stop his fun for the day.

Now having had the privilege of going on quite a few passenger runs with some of the drivers the 1JZ Chaser and the V8 S14 were certainly entertaining to say the least even for someone as bad as me at being a passenger.
